Senator Cory Booker Reveals He Once Went On A Date With Mariah Carey: “It Was Not A Love Match”
Mariah Carey’s dating history is very fluid, but this one seems to be such a wild card.
During an interview with The Shade Room, senator Cory Booker shared that he was set up on a blind date with Mariah Carey after he was asked to reveal a celebrity he’s dated.
“This is gonna make some news, I guess, but years ago, I was set up on sort of a blind date with Mariah Carey,” the political figure revealed.
“It was one of those times where you just know you’re in the presence of somebody that has a grandeur about them. I’m not talking about her talent. But she just has this light. We laughed and had a good time. It was clearly not a love match.”
Despite not being a love match, Booker praised the songstress, expressing how she was a “good human” before jokingly asking that Carey not “deny” their one-off date.
“There were witnesses,” he exclaimed.
“Don’t deny me, Mariah. Don’t deny me now.”

The songstress recently appeared at the BET Awards, where she received the Ultimate Icon Award.
“This means so much, especially coming from BET,” Carey began her speech.
“This is my first BET Award. I mean, if you’re gonna get one, might as well start with the Ultimate Icon Award.”
