Bow Wow and Lil Mama Finally Showed Up in the Same Place at the Same Time and Brooklyn Lost It
The people have been saying it for years. Bow Wow and Lil Mama look alike. And on Saturday night in Brooklyn, the two finally gave the internet exactly what it wanted.
Lil Mama made a surprise appearance during Bow Wow's stop on the Boys 4 Life Tour at Barclays Center on March 28, crashing his set during a performance of his 2002 hit "Take Ya Home" and sending the hometown crowd into full chaos.
Bow Wow, clearly aware of what the moment meant online, went straight to the bit. "Can we please put both of us in the same frame so they know this is not AI?" he told the crowd, before turning to Lil Mama directly. "Twin, you know I stay ready, right?"
From there, Lil Mama took over, performing her 2007 anthem "Lip Gloss" and an a cappella run through her 2015 single "Sausage" for the Brooklyn crowd she calls home.
Bow Wow celebrated the collab on Instagram afterward. "Brooklyn was crazy tonight! I can't believe @lilmama crashed my set tonight! Now y'all can't say this was AI! We finally in the same place at the same time!"
Lil Mama kept it simple in the comments. "This was so [fire]."
The Boys 4 Life Tour, co-headlined by Bow Wow and B2K, also features Crime Mob, Pretty Ricky, Waka Flocka, Amerie, Franchize Boys, and Yung Joc. The run continues through Baltimore, Detroit, Atlanta, and Chicago before wrapping in Memphis on April 26.
