Jonathan Majors Arrives at Court with Meagan Good as Domestic Violence Trial Receives New Fall Date
Jonathan Majors and his reported girlfriend, Meagan Good, still appear to be going strong.
The actress was spotted by Majors’ side as the “Creed III” star appeared in court on Thursday (August 3) to learn his domestic violence case was postponed until fall.
The pair arrived at New York Criminal Court nearly five months after Majors was arrested and charged for allegedly assaulting his now-ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
On what was intended to be the inaugural day of the hearing, Majors' attorney, Priya Chaudhry, submitted a motion to postpone the trial. Chaudhry contendedf that the prosecution was not “timely” in presenting their evidence, Variety reported. A new trial date has now been set for Wednesday, Sept. 6.
The 33-year-old Hollywood star was apprehended in Manhattan after an alleged domestic dispute with Jabbari. He was later charged with four accounts of assault and aggravated harassment, to which he entered a plea of not guilty.
Chaudry has boldly contested that “racial bias” has played a role in the investigation and called the case a “witch hunt” against her client. If convicted, the Marvel star faces up to one year in jail.
During his ongoing court battle, Majors made a fleeting cameo as Kang in the Season 2 trailer of "Loki." This seemingly solidified his return for the upcoming season of the show. The second season of the series is set to start streaming on October 6th exclusively on Disney+.
