Prime Video Unveils First Look at ‘Cross’ Season 2 Starring Aldis Hodge
Prime Video is giving fans a first look at what’s next for “Cross.”
The streamer has released the official trailer and key art for season two of the hit crime thriller inspired by characters created by James Patterson.
Starring and executive produced by Aldis Hodge, the new season premieres on the platform on February 11, 2026, and kicks off with three episodes, followed by weekly releases leading up to the finale on March 18, 2026.
Created by executive producer and showrunner Ben Watkins, “Cross” is set in Washington, D.C. and follows Alex Cross, a brilliant homicide detective and forensic psychologist known for his ability to think like the killers he’s chasing.
The first season drew more than 40 million viewers globally in its first 20 days, marking a breakout success for the platform.
The new season moves into darker territory. When billionaire business leader Lance Durand (played by Matthew Lillard) contacts the FBI after receiving a death threat, the case quickly becomes personal and dangerous.
The threat ties Durand to the murder of a billionaire playboy, pulling Cross and FBI Agent Kayla Craig (played by Alona Tal) into a joint investigation that grows more disturbing as the killer leaves behind a trail of carefully staged clues.
At the same time, Cross’ longtime partner and closest friend, John Sampson (played by Isaiah Mustafa), finds himself caught in an unexpected connection that could shift the balance of the case.
