You Heard It Here First: Top 5 Illest Hip-Hop Tours of 2018

These hip-hop tours take the cake as this year's greatest!

To gain the full hip-hop experience, you need to be front and center for a live performance where the music is turned up on max volume, the performer is raging across the stage and the crowd is pumped just to be in the presence of it all.

The best moments from a legendary show can leave you speechless and craving to replay the experience again and again. While there's been many unforgetable hip-hop tours over the years, the performances of 2018 are some of the most epic!

  1. Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour

Everyone knows that Drake is the man with all the hits, and fans are rushing to purchase their tickets for his latest tour. Drake invited the "Bad and Boujee" rap group Migos along for the ride. Drizzy gives fans a two-hour, 360-degree view of him center stage, rapping every hit from "Best I Ever Had" to "SICKOMODE." Drake even had fans in shock when he brought out his hip-hop nemesis Meek Mill to perform alongside him onstage. Epic at it's finest!

  2. ASTROWORLD – WISH YOU WERE HERE TOUR

If you're reading this it's too early... specifically, a few days too early to say how the Astroworld Tour will turn out, since it begins in the first week of October. But ever since Travis Scott announced the tour it has, without a doubt, been the most talked about tour of this year. By far the best part of every Travis show is attending at floor level to go H.A.M. with all the Ragers as Travis jumps wildly into the crowd. Fans are hopeful this tour will be no different! The Astroworld album has features from Frank Ocean, the Weeknd, Drake and many others, so we can anticipate it's going to definitely be a vibe!

  3. This Is America Tour

Childish Gambino announced the "This Is America" tour will be his "last ever." And while that may be truly disappointing, Gambino did not disappoint when he took the stage. The performer took his fans to church with a tour that was like nothing we've ever seen. His music reaches fans on a spiritual level and specifically tugs on the heartstrings of his Black fans by uncovering the overwhelming emotions we feel on a day-to-day being Black in America.

  4. KOD Tour

Cole World geared up for the illest 34-date North American tour featuring none other than Young Thug, Jaden Smith, EarthGang and kiLL Edward. After the release of his album KOD, Cole secured his title as a hip-hop star. His album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart and entered at No. 1 with 397,000 equivalent album units earned in the first week.

At his show, J. Cole focuses on the music rather than the extravagance of set design. Cole's live band combined with the energy from the crowd makes his performance extremely authentic.

When Cole performs for his fans, he instantly comes alive.

  5. On The Run II Tour

The Carters are back for another round! Jay Z and Beyoncé take their love on tour to promote their collaborative album Everything Is Love. The album is a perfect blend of hip-hop, trap and contemporary R&B, so it's no surprise the couple's joint tour is a definite qualifier for the illest hip-hop tour of 2018.

Our generation's hip-hop Bonnie and Clyde spill their truth on the stage, sharing everything from the deep cracks in their relationship to their deep love for one another as husband and wife. For years, fans have speculated about what goes on between the couple behind closed doors, and the On The Run II Tour gives them a front row seat to the rawness of their relationship.
