Jonathan Majors Ex-Girlfriend Arrested and Actor’s Trial Date Set
Jonathan Majors’ now-former girlfriend and accuser, Grace Jabbari, has been arrested and is facing charges of assault and criminal mischief, although it’s unlikely she’ll be prosecuted.
The New York Police Department confirmed the actress—who Majors is counter-suing—was arrested Wednesday, (Oct. 25) at 6 p.m. She was issued a desk-appearance ticket and will be expected to appear in court regarding the charges.
However, the DA’s office told PEOPLE that they had “informed Ms. Jabbari’s attorney” last September that they “would decline to prosecute Ms. Jabbari if she were arrested.”
The arrest comes on the heels of Majors’ final pretrial hearing. The “Loki” star was charged with multiple misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment following a domestic violence dispute with Jabbari last March in New York City.
On Wednesday, Judge Michael Gaffey denied a request for the case’s dismissal. His new trial date is set for Nov. 29. If found guilty, Majors faces up to one year in jail.
