Michael B. Jordan Says He’s Thinking About Fatherhood as His Next Big Role

The actor told David Letterman that directing has made his life ‘boring,’ but he’s ready to explore what building a family could look like.

Michael B. Jordan may be immersed in directing right now, but he’s already imagining what the next chapter of his life could look like, and it includes fatherhood.

During a recent sit-down with David Letterman for his Netflix series, “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman,” the “Creed” actor admitted that his day-to-day routine has become pretty routine.

“My life is boring,” he joked, noting how directing keeps him locked into work mode most of the time.

Letterman followed up, joking that if he feels his life is boring, he should “follow me around,” before explaining his routine and moments that fill his own married life from dogs, grocery runs, and a mission to buy celery.

The “Sinners” star acknowledged his workload leaves little time for much else, but he’s open to new beginnings, toying with the idea of starting his own family.

The 38-year-old expressed that he wants to “start out small,” before completely diving into fatherhood.

He laughed while describing his step-by-step plan for getting there: “I figure I got to start off with like plants and dogs.”

“If I can take care of a plant, I can take care of the dog,” he said. “If the dog’s cool, then I have a shot.”

The episode arrives on the streaming platform on December 16th.
