Willow Smith Pens Heartfelt Letter to Tupac

The young pop star shares an old letter she wrote to the late hip hop icon.

Willow Smith has first-rate teachers on the subject of hip hop history in parents Will and Jada, but one lesson the 11-year-old star seems to have picked up along the way is decidedly extracurricular. In a handwritten letter to Tupac written by the junior Smith years ago and recently posted on her personal Instagram page, Willow expresses her belief that the legendary rapper is still "alive some place."
"Dear Tupac, I know you are alive some place. I think that my mommy really misses you," the letter begins. "Can you please come back so mommy and me can be happy! I wish you were here... I really do! Love, Willow."
Tupac and Jada Pinkett-Smith, who attended high school together at the Baltimore School for the Arts, were close friends until the rapper's death in 1996.
Since she likely won't get her wish to meet 'Pac in person, the "21st Century Girl" and Annie star will have to keep making due with stories from mom.
