The story of Derek Fisher's DUI crash over the weekend just got crazier.

That's because TMZ Sports is reporting that the SUV that Fisher wrecked actually is registered to Matt Barnes. What a plot twist!

Fisher is of course dating Barnes's ex-wife, Gloria Govan, and the two ballers were former teammates in the NBA, with Matt infamously attacking Derek in an altercation back in October 2015.

Well, according to TMZ, Fisher was driving a white 2015 Cadillac Escalade, which was registered under Barnes's name, when he hit a guard rail on an L.A. freeway, flipped and wrecked the SUV over the weekend. Govan was with him, but the two miraculously walked away from the wreckage unscathed. Fisher was arrested for DUI.

The celebrity website additionally reported that Barnes, who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors, gave Govan the Escalade specifically to get their two sons around.

With his Warriors on the brink of winning an NBA title, Barnes has kept silent on the crash. But we can't imagine a scenario where he doesn't go after Fisher to replace the damaged vehicle — as he should.
