Roddy Ricch Has Colorful Words For The NYPD During Summer Jam Set After Gun Charges Dropped

He took the stage at Hot 97’s festival at MetLife Stadium.

Roddy Ricch hit the Summer Jam stage on Sunday (June 12) just hours after he was released from custody at Queens Central Booking over an arrest on weapons charges.

According to Rolling Stone, the Queens District Attorney’s office says there are currently “no charges pending” against the rapper. That didn’t stop Roddy, however, from sharing his thoughts about law enforcement in the Big Apple.

“F**k NYPD,” the 23-year-old yelled, inspiring a crowd chant during his Summer Jam set at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday.

Roddy Ricch and members of his posse were stopped at a security checkpoint near Citi Field on Saturday when police found a loaded firearm, additional ammunition, and a large capacity magazine, according to TMZ.

Billboard reports, he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device, and unlawful possession of an ammunition feeding device.

Ricch was scheduled to perform at Governors Ball on Saturday evening, but the music festival broke the news of his cancellation 45 minutes after his scheduled performance slot.
