Music mogul Rick Ross has expanded his empire past the beats and is dabbling in the world of women’s hair care. Yes, RICH Hair Care, as it’s called, is actually a thing. It’s name is an ode to his most successful mixtape Rich Forever, which is also his Instagram handle (@richforever). Apparently, RICH Hair Care is a luxury hair care line and has already been featured in InStyle, Elle and Cosmopolitan. So how did Mr. Ross get into the business of hair products?

Your guess is as good as ours, unless his signature beard qualifies him as a leading hair care expert. What’s even more odd is RICH Hair’s IG is littered with images of white models. The line includes shampoos, conditioners, serums and sprays all advertised by white women. While we’re slightly confused about the rapper’s target consumer, we’re interested to hear more about the line when he hits the Bronner Bros. Hair Show on Monday, February 13.

RICH Hair Care’s website includes this statement from the rapper on the new venture:

“I appreciate and understand quality products, especially when those products are used to enhance your overall personal health and appearance. Being a supporter of men's grooming and healthy facial hair in specific, I was more than pleasantly surprised with RICH Hair Care products and had personally used them before this partnership. I've always been asked about my beard, hair care and what I use to take care of myself. It was something that I always overlooked until I sat down and really thought about the benefits and the message that could be created by partnering with the great guys at RICH Hair Care. I am excited to build a global network around this new RICH Hair Care venture, continue the entrepreneurial conversations and offer additional exposure to an incredible brand." 

He’s previously invested in Belaire Champagne, Wingstop and Checkers/Rally’s, making him no stranger to straying from his lane. So we gotta ask — would you trust Rick Ross with your locks?
