A recent report detailed the amount of money the first lady spent on flights before she moved to Washington, and although the cost nearly hit a million dollars, Republicans (a.k.a. the party of limiting government spending) have remained silent.

When Michelle would wear an expensive designer outfit, there would always be a segment on Fox News about how much money her clothing cost the average tax payer. When Michelle suggested planting fresh vegetables in the White House garden as part of her healthy eating initiative, Republicans criticized her plans. However, a report from the Wall Street Journal revealed Melania Trump spent $676,635 of tax payer dollars on Air Force One flights between New York, Washington and Florida between January and April of 2017.
