Rihanna Was in Nice During the Time of the Attacks

She's doing fine.

Thursday’s (July 14) deadly attack in Nice, France, killed over 80 people and left more than 100 injured.

Rihanna was in Nice during the tragedy, however she was uninjured. According to an Instagram post made shortly afterward, the Barbadian singer had to cancel a show she had scheduled because of what went down.

“Due to the tragic events in #Nice, my concert scheduled for tomorrow July 15 at Allianz Stadium will not be going ahead as planned,” she captioned under a picture of a heart donning the French colors. “Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.” A rep for RiRi also confirmed to Billboard that their client is safe and was not near the attacks when they happened.

Rihanna was scheduled to perform today, and there’s no telling when she’ll get a chance to hit the stage in the French city again. The concert was a part of her Anti World Tour and not the only thing canceled due to the attacks.

A truck reportedly drove onto a sidewalk while a crowd was celebrating Bastille Day, a French national holiday, and plowed through a crowd who had gathered to watch fireworks. Officials are calling the attack deliberate and a tragedy. BET sends their condolences to everyone affected by the Nice attacks.
