2023 NAACP Image Awards: These ‘Outstanding Talk Series’ Nominees Have The Gift of Gab
Hart to Heart, Red Table Talk, The Tamron Hall, Sherri, and Uninterrupted: The Shop from NBA superstar LeBron James and business partner Maverick Carter show are just a few of the popular talk shows that should be on your radar covering the topics you want to hear about featuring some of the most prominent figures across Hollywood. However, only one of these series can be crowned “Outstanding Talk Series” at the 54th Annual NAACP Image Awards, but before we learn who will take home the win, check them out below. 'Hart to Heart'
“A-list entertainers, athletes, and public figures reveal their honest, unfiltered, and unexpected true selves over a glass of wine” with award-winning comedian and actor Kevin Hart on his Peacock streaming talk show Hart to Heart. The weekly series where no topic is off-limits premiered on August 5, 2021, and includes guests like Tracee Ellis Ross, Don Cheadle, Mike Tyson, Tyler Perry, and many more.
‘Red Table Talk’
Daytime Emmy Award-winning host Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter and singer Willow Smith, and Jada's mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, provide "a forum where the perspectives of three different generations on a wide variety of topics” including sex, mental health, drugs, and more with different stars across the industry including Gabrielle Union, Kid Cudi, Toni Braxton, and many more.
'Sherri'
After filling in for Wendy Williams on her iconic eponymous daytime talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, during the latter portion of the thirteenth season, comedian and actress Sherri Shepherd announced the launch of her own talk series, Sherri. Earlier this month, the show was renewed for its second and third seasons through 2025.
'Tamron Hall Show'
Veteran broadcast journalist Tamron Hall connects with viewers from all walks of life through in-depth conversations with some of the biggest names across the industry on her self-titled talk show, The Tamron Hall Show.
Since its debut on September 9, 2019, guests, including award-winning actress and singer Janelle Monáe, Daniel Kaluuya, Kenya Moore, Tyler Perry, and many more, have stopped by leaving it up to anyone’s guess who may show up next. On May 12, 2022, the show celebrated the series' 500th episode.
'Uninterrupted: The Shop'
Uninterrupted: The Shop or simply known as The Shop, stars NBA superstar LeBron James and longtime businessman and friend Maverick Carter, who, alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood, have conversations and debates in a barbershop setting.
