Rihanna Releases ‘Towards the Sun’
Rihanna is wrapping up her leap year of a birthday month with a present for her international fans.
BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills premiered her new song, "Towards the Sun," playing it twice for his U.K. listeners Tuesday morning (Feb. 24).
"Turn your face towards the sun, let the shadows fall behind you," she sings in an airy flutter of a hook backed by a booming bass.
The dance-pop ballad lands on the soundtrack for the upcoming release, Home, a 3-D animated film via 20th Century Fox. Word is RiRi (whose acting credits also include Annie, This Is the End and Battleship) created an entire concept album for the project. She also dropped voice-over vocals as the character Gratuity 'Tip' Tucci alongside Jennifer Lopez and comedian Steve Martin.
Home is scheduled to hit screens March 27.
