If you’ve ever spent any time on Azealia Banks’s Twitter or Instagram accounts, you’ve probably wondered whether there’s something actually wrong with her.

She’s slandered groups of people, individuals, defended questionable actions, and just about everything else to make one scratch his or her head, or reply with the same vitriol.

Well, the theory that Banks’s health may have something to do with her random lashing out may have some weight, and the proof is coming from Azealia herself. The New York rapper recently took to Instagram (since she just left Twitter) and broke down why she may say the things says.

“This is not an excuse for anything. This is simply me noticing my behavioral patterns,” she captioned next to a screen shot of a note she wrote about her premenstrual symptoms. “I've never thought PMS'ing was a serious thing. I just regarded it as cramps and slight irritability but I realize as I get older that it's a real thing. I'm going to make PMS my next personal research project. I'm still not quite sure what it actually is or why it happens but it's too real for me to just chalk it up to needing an attitude adjustment. Yes... I need an attitude adjustment, but I also need to know what this chemical thing that's happening to me every month is. #mentalhealthawareness.”

This message was then accompanied by two more posts that described the symptoms of PMS which Azealia Banks believes she’s going through. She also wanted everyone to know what PMDD actually is in case anyone is going through the same thing.
