The NAACP Image Awards aims to be inclusive when honoring Black talent in Hollywood. With over 40 categories, including “Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture,” “Outstanding Actress in a Comedy” and “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series,”the annual ceremony also recognizes those who have contributed to society in impactful ways, including the “President’s Award” given to past stars like  Rihanna, Ella Fitzgerald, and Spike Lee.

This year, the association has included four new awards that will honor the best in podcasting from news and information, lifestyle/self-help, as well as society and culture, and arts and entertainment.
