A$AP Rocky Accuser Denies Planting Evidence At Scene
A$AP Rocky’s accuser, Terrell Epheron, formerly known as A$AP Relli, and the rapper’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, continue to butt heads in the courtroom.
In Rocky’s ongoing gun assault case, on Monday, February 3, court resumed with Epheron’s testimony that on October 19, 2021, footage of Epheron shooting at a range was filmed at the Los Angeles Gun Club, according to “Rolling Stone.” It was previously said that the video was “probably” filmed in New Jersey, which Epheron corrected upon reviewing his Instagram archive.
It would be less than a month later that Epheron returned from New York to Los Angeles when he got into a violent confrontation with Rocky on November 6, 2021, in Hollywood, resulting in him being grazed in the knuckles with bullets. By Monday, Epheron explained that he initially claimed that the gun club was not in L.A. due to growing tired of his exchange with Tacopina. “I just wanted to stop talking to you,” Epheron reportedly said.
Rocky’s defense has claimed that the rapper was only carrying a ‘prop gun’ during his showdown with Epheron, whom they accuse of planting bullets at the scene upon his return to the site after police reportedly did not find evidence. Epheron denied planting bullets, in part because he would’ve brought “exactly” three to four casings.
Tacopina has additionally accused Epheron of attempting to extort the Harlem rapper, with one audio recording of Epheron allegedly telling an associate, Wally Sajimi, that he planned to “sue the s**t out of Rocky.” Sajimi was on the stand Monday and mostly claimed that he did not recall having a conversation with Epheron about the shooting.
On Friday, January 31, the cross-examination reached a boiling point when Epheron accused Tacopina of being “slick” and "sneaky” after being told to contact prosecutors about the footage being recorded at the L.A. gun club.
On Tuesday, January 28, Ephron started his testimony by describing how he and Rocky had fallen out years after beginning their friendship in high school. Two court dates have been attended by Rihanna, who shares two sons with Rocky, whom she's dated publicly as early as 2020. Rocky faces a maximum term of 24 years after turning down a final plea agreement that included 180 days in jail, three years of probation, and a seven-year suspended sentence.
