‘The Oval’: Victoria and Jason’s Brutal Bunker Showdown Ends in Bloodshed

A near-fatal family standoff, Nancy’s return, and new White House power plays push Tyler Perry’s The Oval into one of its wildest episodes yet.

Tyler Perry’s The Oval picks up right where we left off last week: Jason stabbing his mother in the bunker. Hunter manages to get him to let her go, but the damage is already done. Victoria is doubled over in pain, clutching the knife still lodged in her side, while Hunter restrains Jason and yells for help. Shockingly, Hunter is actually disturbed by his son’s behavior and keeps telling Victoria to breathe and calm down… as if he didn’t just try to hang her a few weeks ago. Remember when he hung her and Eli?

Fast-forward to Dale and Sharon, who are still trying to figure out what to do with all that dirty money they stumbled into. Their plans get interrupted when Nancy calls. She’s out of jail on the condition that she keeps her mouth shut about everything that went down, but she’s broke. Actions have consequences—especially when you drain the family accounts on a revenge shopping spree. She needs Dale and Sharon to pick her up, and of course they will; Nancy’s basically a mom to them.

Once they scoop her up, she immediately starts rattling off errands. She wants to stop for groceries, then head to the funeral home to make arrangements for Barry. She also wastes no time reminding Dale she bought him that car. They cannot afford all these side quests, but this is Ms. Nancy—we all know they’re not saying no.

Meanwhile, at the White House, everyone is plotting in their own corners. Allan starts his job as the new chief of staff, and unexpectedly, Lilly invites him over for dinner—no explanation, just “let’s talk in person.” And then there’s Constance, pushing Sam to let her into the bunker so she can question Jason, Victoria, and Hunter. She needs their accounts to start building a public narrative for Eli. Sam holds his ground for now, but the vibe is clear: Constance usually gets what she wants.

Back in the bunker, Victoria is bleeding out while Jason watches like it’s his favorite show and Hunter acts horrified by the monster he raised. Jason reminds his father about that time he tried to kill Victoria, and Hunter brushes it off as “just playing the game.” These people’s cornbread truly ain’t done in the middle.

Victoria eventually appears to stop breathing, which shocks Hunter enough to let go of Jason. Jason immediately rushes over to gloat about how he’s about to dismember his mother. But you already know where this is heading. Victoria was playing possum. Just as Jason gets too close, she stabs him in the neck. Now they’re both bleeding out, inching toward the devil together—unless somebody checks that bunker next week.
