Not So Fast! Cardi B Is Not Ready To Share Her New Son’s Name Just Yet

After Stefon Diggs posted a sweater with ‘Liem’ on it, Cardi clarified the label belongs to her man’s clothing brand and she’ll share the baby’s real name when the family is ready.

Cardi B shut down a baby-name rumor this week after her boo, Buffalo Bills star Stefon Diggs  posted a baby sweater embroidered with the word “Liem.” During an Instagram Live, Cardi corrected a fan who asked, “How is baby Liem?” — answering bluntly, “That is not his name. That’s my man’s brand, his clothing brand.”

Diggs’ post sparked a flurry of speculation, but Cardi made it clear she’s not ready to share her newborn son’s name just yet. “One day I’ll tell y’all my son’s name. It’s so cute, I love his name. But no, that’s my man’s clothing brand’s name,” she said, and added that past practice suggests she may wait. She didn’t reveal her daughter Blossom’s name for nearly a year after the child’s birth. So fans may not get baby boy’s name until 2026.

Diggs launched his clothing brand Liem in 2022. He’s also expanded his creativity into decor and debuted his furniture and lifestyle brand SI VIS PACEM at Miami’s Art Basel. The line’s name comes from the Latin phrase meaning “if you want peace, prepare for war,” a concept that he said guides the tone and purpose of the collection. Diggs is leaning into his creativity as he continues to heal from a significant ACL injury. One thing the baller’s not doing is revealing his son’s name.

Cardi has been unusually private since giving birth, but she thanked her fans for their well-wishes and requested space for her family to settle in with their new addition, whose name will not be revealed until the “Am I The Drama” rapper is ready.
