Actress Danielle Brooks Shares Sweet Video Baking With Look-Alike Daughter

The Color Purple star is urging IG followers to reflect on the good in their life with #GratefulMondays

Danielle Brooks wants you to share what you are grateful for.

In a new video, she and her daughter, Freeya, 3, are total look-alikes as they bake muffins in their kitchen—with Freeya wearing an adorable blue apron that reads "Little Troublemaker" on the front, according to Today.

"In the midst of so many negative forces in our world we have to remind ourselves what is most important," Brooks captioned the video. "Remind yourself of the things that bring you happiness. Hope you’ll join me on Mondays by making a quick reel of what you’re grateful for."

Brooks added the hashtag #GratefulMondays to the end of the post.

The former Orange is the New Black star and her daughter take bites of the sweet muffins.

“Yummy,” Freeya responds.

“Yay!” Brooks says. “Yummy!”

Fans in the post's comment section marveled at how much Freeya has grown and how much she looks like her famous mom.

"Your little twin," one person wrote with a heart-eyed emoji. Brooks shares Freeya with her husband, Dennis Gelin.

In a 2021 interview with Parents Magazine, Brooks said of her daughter, “Now I feel hopeful because I know how I’m going to raise my child. There’s one better human being in this world,” she said. “It’s work on the parents’ part to show our kids love. I pray I raise my daughter to be street smart and be able to tackle the world and not be defeated by it. Motherhood has been good. It feels good on me.”

Danielle Brooks will soon reprise her Broadway role as Sofia in The Color Purple movie due out this Christmas.

She told PEOPLE last year that she had to audition for the movie role despite her Broadway experience. "It's a great cast. It was a great cast then [on Broadway], and it's a phenomenal cast now," she said. "I feel like it's so different going from theater to TV to movies, anyway, but I'm just glad I'm still in the number."
