Son of Young Scooter Says He’s ‘Broken Into a Million Pieces’ Over Father’s Death

Kenneth Edward Rashaad Bailey Jr. said he was “broken into million pieces” over his father’s passing.

Kenneth Edward Rashaad Bailey Jr., the son of late rapper and Freebandz member Young Scooter, is mourning the sudden loss of his father.

On Friday, March 28, Young Scooter, born Kenneth Bailey, reportedly died on his 39th birthday, although his cause of death has not been revealed. According to Variety, the rapper was said to have sustained a leg injury while fleeing from police officers after jumping two fences.

On Sunday, March 31, Kenneth Jr. posted an Instagram Story, where he slammed the Atlanta Police Department and opened up about his grief. “F**K APD,” he wrote. *Police or not ain have no understanding bout you pulled straight up ain't give a f**k bout no handcuffs on me. I just wanted to make sure you good dats all I kept askin and they h*e as kept lyin.”

“Damn my best friend gone. Happy birthday too,” Bailey continued. “I know exactly what to do fasho tho you know I got my sisters and brothers they overly good yo son a Hustla just like you. Watch dis. I promise ima get back to yall thank yall. Im just tryna stay off this social media s**t got lame ass blogs lyin and shit man ion even wanna see nunna dis s**t. Broken into million pieces ion wish dis pain on nobody. Dude a good n***a he ain't deserve this shit.”

Fellow Atlanta acts, such as former Migos members Quavo and Offset, ATL Jacob, and Waka Flocka Flame, who signed Scooter to his Brick Squad Monopoly label, also mourned Scooter's passing on social media. Scooter’s final mixtape, “Fast Lane Juugin,” was released on February 4.
