The acclaimed drama will return Wednesday, February 23

Snowfall — FX’s most-watched series of 2021— is drawing closer to the premiere of its fifth season and, after initially announcing the season premiere date this past December (21st), has dropped the first look of the highly anticipated franchise with an official trailer this past Wednesday (Jan 26).

Co-created, directed and executive produced by the late John Singleton back in 2017, the crime drama follows Los Angeles’ first crack epidemic in the early 1980s with British actor, Damson Idris, starring as the lead, Franklin.

Season five shows Franklin’s family at the peak of their success before things go south, as greed, resentment and ego threaten their establishment from within.

The forthcoming season description reads:  “The streets of South Central Los Angeles never have been so dangerous as the Saint family navigates the police, the warring gangs, and the CIA. Amidst all of this, the biggest threat the family faces is one another as they try not to let greed, resentment, and ego tear them all apart.”

The first two episodes of the acclaimed drama will premiere on FX on February 23 and stream on Hulu the next day. The first four seasons of Snowfall are also available to stream on Hulu.
