On Monday afternoon, police responded to a call from Hill's mother-in-law, Alesia Vaccaro, who reported an "assault in progress," according to reports. Vaccaro described Hill as "very aggressive and impulsive," expressing fear for her daughter's safety. According to the police report, during an argument with his wife, Keeta Hill, Tyreek allegedly threw a laptop on the floor and took their infant daughter toward the balcony of their 35th-floor residence.

Both Tyreek and Keeta informed officers that the altercation did not become physical. However, officers observed a bruise on Keeta's upper chest, which she suggested might have occurred unintentionally when Hill took the baby from her. Keeta also indicated that the couple had been attending couples therapy without success and that she was in the process of filing for divorce.

The following day, Keeta officially filed for divorce in Miami-Dade County Family Court, citing that the marriage was "irretrievably broken." She is seeking child support, spousal support, and exclusive use of their Miami residence.

The Miami Dolphins acknowledged the incident in a statement:

“On Monday, we were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home, and after conversations with Tyreek and members of his family, the police departed the residence without further incident and the case was closed," the team said.

"We have since been in communication with Tyreek and the NFL and will have no further comment on the matter.”

Hill has a history of off-field incidents, including a 2015 domestic assault conviction and a 2019 child abuse investigation, which resulted in a brief suspension but no league discipline. In 2024, Hill recorded his lowest full-season stats since his rookie year, impacted by injuries to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Despite contemplating a departure from Miami, Hill decided to remain with the team for the 2025 season. He is under a three-year, $90 million contract and remains a high-profile player with 798 receptions, 11,098 yards, and 82 touchdowns across 141 games.

Currently, no charges have been filed against Hill in connection with the recent domestic dispute.
