Kanye West and Kim Kardashian consider themselves fashion royalty and even got Vogue editrix Anna Wintour to co-sign (sort of), but Tim Gunn isn't having any of it. The Project Runway mentor and fashion industry veteran trashed Yeezy and his clothing line during an interview with Huffington Post, and clearly doesn't care what anyone has to say about it.
Asked what he thinks of West's fashion week collection, Gunn didn't hesitate to tell us how he really feels. "I think they are a bunch of dumb clothes, just basic pieces," he replied. And he isn't giving West's wife and in-laws a pass, either. "But when it comes to fashion I say to people all the time, if you want guidance in fashion, just consider this: if a Kardashian is wearing it, don't." He goes on to say his beef with the Kardashians is that their style is "vulgar." His kindest words — if you can call them that — were for model-of-the-moment Kendall Jenner, who he says is "tainted by the 'yuck'" of her famous family.
