Amid "King of R&B" Debate, Tank Wants All The Smoke With Newly Surfaced Diss Track

Talk yo sh*t.

The unwavering debate over who is the “king of R&B” sparked by Cash Money singer Jacquees earlier this week is about to become a full-blown war. Savage crooner Tank was one of the first to chime in with his two cents about who is truly deserving of such a coveted honor. He feels one shouldn’t receive the title if they lack vocal ability, sales, longevity, consistency, and relevancy. The back-and-forth argument had Pleasure P, J. Holiday, John Legend, Al B Sure! and so many others all weighing in as a collective to attempt to cease the verbal sparring.

Despite a lot of the singers pleading for a “Kings of R&B tour,” the “Please Don’t Go” vocalist opted for a more cost-effective approach: a viral sing-off… but not before throwing hilarious shade.

  • Tank penned, “I don’t care who your KING is he just better be able to do this!”

Then, he proceeded to “talk [his] sh*t” with scorching bars. “I don’t need another n**ga in here writing all my sh*t. I don’t need another n**ga in here producing all my hits. You could look at me and tell royalty is in my DNA,” he sang out.

“You could look at them and tell they don't wanna blow smoke my way. I’m real. Ain’t gonna do drugs. I ain’t even gotta smoke. I ain’t gotta flash cash but a n**ga ain’t broke. You just better ask ‘fore you get too close. N**ga with some real sh*t. N**ga with the gas on. I could blow up real quick and f*ck up every last song.”

  • Fans went apesh*t and flooded his comments
