Juvenile Says He Was Instrumental in 50 Cent’s Rise to Shady Records Fame

From offering studio access to making crucial introductions, the hip-hop veteran explains how he helped launch 50 Cent’s career.

Juvenile drops a dose of hip-hop history, revealing his role in helping 50 Cent land his deal with Eminem and Shady Records.

During an interview with personality Nyla Symone, the rapper shares the story of how the deal happened. 

"I got 50 Cent his record deal with Eminem," he said. 

"Ask 50, he'll tell you, yeah, Juve was the one. 50 couldn't really go to the studio at the time, and I was one of the first cats with a studio bus, so I let him record on my bus, him, Tony Yayo, and Lloyd Banks."

The “400 Degreez” rapper continued, sharing how he brought Sha Money to Eminem while he was on set filming with D12

"When I went over there with Sha Money, my first thing was telling him the type of music Em doing and the type of music 50 doing with the diss thing. That's going to work if he go with him. And it worked."

He then followed up, saying how the “Power” creator also gave him credit in his book. 

"In his book he gives me my credit. I always tell people ask 50,” he shared. 

The Hot Boyz member continues to let his legacy reign; last year, he was honored by the city of New Orleans with "Back That Azz Up," which celebrated its 25th anniversary, according to a report by BET.com

"The 25th anniversary of the music video, and urge all citizens to join the celebration of this monumental achievement and the artists who have made a lasting impact on our city's musical legacy," Mayor Latoya Cantrell said.
