Stefon Diggs Refers to Cardi B as His Wife in New Video, Prompting Fresh Speculation

The NFL star’s casual phrasing ignited conversations about the pair’s relationship status.

Stefon Diggs has people listening a little closer after a casual comment in a new video started raising eyebrows.

In a clip from the New England Patriots’ Spanish-language media team, Diggs is gifted a hoodie that reads “Español” across the front with the Patriots’ logo.

The wide receiver lights up, clearly feeling the merch, and decides to show off a little bilingual flair. “Patriots Español, gracias,” he tells the camera before sliding in a line that stopped a few folks mid-scroll.

“Yo quiero uno más… for mi esposa,” he says, which has sparked discourse, questioning if the couple is married or not.

For those not familiar, the word “esposa” is wife in Spanish.

Before the clip cuts off, the New England Patriots star adds one more request and another eyebrow-raiser.

“Actually, give me two. A mini one,” he says, a sweet nod to the couple’s newborn son who arrived earlier this month.

The “Safe” rapper responded to her man’s video, reciting lyrics from Megan Thee Stallion’s record, “Lover Girl,” saying “my man, my man, my baby” in the comments.

The couple gave birth to a son last month, and recently, the “Am I The Drama” rapper spoke about her postpartum journey after facing criticism following her appearance at a New York event, according to a report by BET.com

The “Bodega Baddie” artist shared that she had actually been at home recovering with her newborn and had only stepped out briefly to fulfill an obligation.

“You don’t even know when I gave birth to my kid,” she said, noting that the event lasted all of an hour.

“Y’all took one event that I went to for one hour… literally probably even less, because my obligation was to be there for 30 minutes.”

The “Don’t Do Too Much” artist recalled how hard it was for her, dealing with postpartum depression, after her daughter Kulture’s birth in 2018, sharing that she “was at home for three months” and dealing with “the worst postpartum,” an experience she said left her genuinely “traumatized.”

She explained to those tuned in to her Spaces that with later pregnancies, she often felt waves of sadness and had to rebuild her sense of self little by little. Sometimes that meant getting her hair done. Sometimes it meant shopping or slowly re-entering the workforce.
