2023 NAACP Image Awards: Rihanna’s Biggest Hits Ranked

The singer's latest single, “Lift Me Up,” from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack took home “Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album.”

Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show performer Rihanna’s song “Lift Me Up” earned the “Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album” award from the Blockbuster film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which also won for "Outstanding Soundtrack/Compilation Album". The song marked the Bajan entertainer’s first solo release since 2016, and in honor of the 54th Annual NAACP Image Awards, we’re taking a look back at some of the singer’s biggest hits.

    Rihanna and Drake partnered up for this dancehall-inspired single, thus giving fans one of the hottest records of 2016. Featured on her last released album, Anti, “Work” spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100, earning Rihanna her longest streak as a lead artist atop the chart.

    In 2010, the pop star took a more uptempo approach to her music with the release of her fifth album, Loud, with “Only Girl (In The World)” as the project lead single. The music video has over 890 million views on YouTube.

    From her Good Gone Bad album released in 2017, "Umbrella" is regarded as the single that defined the singer’s career. The effort earned the singer a Grammy Award for “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration,” as well as nominations for “Record of the Year” and “Song of the Year.” In addition, the music video has over 881 million views on YouTube.

    Rihanna’s  2011 hit “We Found Love” slowly climbed to the top of the charts. After a six-week journey, the electronic-house track written and produced by DJ Calvin Harris found its way to the number one spot, where it stayed for ten weeks.

    Legendary rapper Eminem tapped Rihanna for his 2010 mid-tempo hip-hop ballad “Love The Way You Lie.” Skylar Grey wrote the demo after feeling like she was in an abusive romantic relationship with the music industry. The song marked the Detroit emcee’s third number-one single on the chart and Rihanna’s sixth.
