Beyoncé's "Blackbiird" Collaborators Get Matching Tattoos to Celebrate Success

Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, and Tiera Kennedy reflect on their historic collaboration and share the significance of their matching tattoos.

Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, and Tiera Kennedy, all of the Black women country singers featured on Beyoncé’s rendition of “Blackbiird” on her latest album, "Cowboy Carter,” have all gotten matching tattoos. Cute! Billboard caught up with Roberts on the red carpet at the CMT Music Awards, and she shared that she and the girls got matching “Blackbird” symbolism tattoos.

“I have black wings on mine, and it says, ‘Thou shall rain heavenly fire.’ I want to blaze a trail wherever I go,” Roberts said. It’s just incredible. The camaraderie, us supporting each other and congratulating each other on this big success we can all experience together, has been phenomenal.”

Adell said, “We just felt like this is a really big moment and something to commemorate the experience of being able to work together with someone that we all look up to very much.”

The girls got a chance to reunite at the awards as presenters. It was a joy to witness four Black women standing together to celebrate Country music. Look at Beyoncé shifting culture and creating meaningful lifelong bonds!

Not only do Adell, Kennedy, Roberts, and Spencer have a life-changing feature with Beyoncé on their resumes, but “Cowboy Carter” has made Beyoncé the first Black woman to have a No. 1 Country album on the Billboard charts, which makes Adell, Kennedy, Roberts and Spencer a part of that history too!

We were only waiting for this moment to arise.
