Ryan Destiny and Keith Powers Announce Their Engagement in Stunning Photo Shoot
A new IT couple has gotten engaged.
Yesterday (October 5), Ryan Destiny and Keith Powers took to social media to announce their engagement.
In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared a carousel of photos from their engagement shoot, captioning the post, “Engaged to the love of my life.”
Fans showed support for the young couple, with Destiny taking to her Instagram stories to express her gratitude and appreciation for the support.
“Thank you for all the beautiful messages and love,” she wrote.
“Truly, a whirlwind of love all around.”
She then continued to thank her team, who helped curate the shoot, for “going on a literal quest with us,” she said.
“Not your normal engagement shoot. Some of the most patient, kind, talented, and beautiful humans I know. Appreciate you so much.”
During an interview last November on The Breakfast Club, “The Fire Inside” actress addressed rumors of a breakup with Powers, with JessHillarious questioning if it was a “bump in the road,” to which Destiny agreed and said “yes.”
The couple has been linked since 2017, and in an interview with BET.com, the 30-year-old revealed how Powers is her “favorite person in the world.”
“Keith has inspired me to be a more loving person, especially when it comes to others,” she shared.
While reflecting on her now fiancé, the “Star” actress spoke candidly about the kind of influence he’s had on her both personally and professionally. “I’ve always been someone who’s in my shell, but he reminds me to embrace people without losing myself in the process,” she said, her tone warm but thoughtful.
That mutual respect, she explained, comes from watching how grounded he remains in an industry that often challenges authenticity. “He’s stayed so true to who he is, and that inspires me every day,” she added. “It’s proof that you can still be good and kind in this industry, which can feel so rare sometimes.”
