Is Miss Colombia Shading Steve Harvey?

The host is reaching out to her.

After his embarrassing blunder last month, Steve Harvey is finally breaking his silence on the Miss Universe incident. Dishing on how it all went down on his first Steve Harvey Morning Show segment of the new year, Steve said he's since spoken to Miss Philippines — the actual winner — and has reached out to Miss Colombia — whom he wrongfully crowned — but hasn't received a response.

"When I did it, it was horrible for Miss Colombia. And she's the only one I haven't had a chance to talk to," he said. "I've had a chance to talk to Miss Philippines. I've talked to all the pageant people. I've talked to people backstage. Even me and the director had a long talk. But I haven't been able to reach out and talk to Miss Colombia. Now, have I tried? Yes. But haven't gotten a response."

Shady or not, Steve still feels for Miss Colombia: "How this must have made this woman from Colombia [feel]... I felt for her more than me," he said. "I could've just stayed back there and said, 'Y'all fix it.' I don't feel sorry for me."

In fact, the Family Feud host says his now infamous blunder worked to the pageant franchise's advantage. "I don't feel sorry for the pageant, the pageant will now be bigger than it's ever been."
