Too $hort Addresses Messy Marv Beef

The rap icon says the San Fran rapper wasn’t on his radar.

For the past few weeks, tension has been rising in California’s beautiful Bay area.

Longtime San Francisco rapper Messy Marv first released the track “Class of '84 (F*** Too $hort).” Then he gave an interview to AllHipHop.com on August 16 saying, “The man has no respect for the Bay Area or any other man. His platinum plaques have gone to his head and I'm here to check him about it since nobody else will.”

It seems Marv is upset that Too $hort, 45, is not repping the Bay, or helping him out the way he thinks the icon should.

Breaking his silence, $hort Dog tells the website he didn’t know what Marv’s issue was until he called him up. “I don't understand why he chose his methods of communication…going on the computer to say, “F*** Too $hort.” I figured it would've been way easier to just get at me.”

Calling the beef baseless, the Life is...Too $hort MC explains Messy Marv needs to make a name for himself without using him as a stepping stone. He says he decided to speak out because “this can't be the person that little youngsters in the Bay are saying is next in for the Crown.” As for the multi-platinum rapper being born in L.A., he dismisses it saying, “That's no big damn secret.”
