Kodak Black Draws Concerns After Alluding to ‘Meth Habit’ In Freestyle
After admitting to drug use in the past, Kodak Black alluded to his “habit” during an ‘On the Radar’ freestyle.
Around the 52-second mark of the video, which was posted on Wednesday, May 21, the Florida rapper called himself a “young n***a with a meth habit,” which caused a stir on social media.
“Kodak the only artist that I've literally watched grow up and been fighting addiction and it really pulls at my heart cuz he can be so much more but his problems out weigh his will to be sober,” read one comment on TikTok.
“Hate seeing bro like this man. I hope he beat his demons,” wrote another TikTok user.
Kodak has spawned multiple drug-related incidents over the years, like 2023, when the rapper was arrested for the suspicion of cocaine possession, although the substance turned out to be oxycodone, which he had a prescription for.
Kodak also condemned drug usage in the last year, even claiming that he’d no longer perform one of his biggest hits, “Super Gremlin,” due to his sobriety.
But even after his repeated struggles with addiction, Kodak would denounce his sobriety, saying late last year that he was “too young” to live a drug-free lifestyle.
