Kodak Black Celebrates Sobriety On Social Media

The Florida rapper said he's the happiest he's ever been since he began to work on his addiction to Percocets.

Kodak Black is heading on a new path to sobriety and shared that he is in a much better place after taking his prescription pills addiction seriously.

Giving an update on Instagram Live on Saturday (April 6), Kodak said that his life has changed dramatically since he has taken steps to curb his dependency on Percocets.

“I remember a point in my life when I was chewing a lot of Percs. Bro, I’m proud of myself. I’ve never been this happy in my life, bro. I don’t know where this came from, what the f*ck going on,” he said. “I ain’t even going to say I’m anti-Perc. Like, I never took a Perc since I was home. But bro, my dosage so low that I can’t believe it myself. Man, I’m telling y’all, bro.”

“Before I just went to jail, bro, I was taking… I can talk about this because it’s my testimony. Bro, I’m hollering at y’all, ain’t no shame in my sh*t. I was taking, bro, at least 100 Percs,” Kodak continued.

“Bro, my average was 40 Percocets. I’m telling y’all this man. I ain’t know, to the point where I look at this sh*t and be like, what the f*ck was wrong with me, bruh? I listen to my music and be like, bro, what the f*ck, fam?”

Along with his music, Kodak has earned a reputation for having run-ins with the law, with some of those offenses being tied to drug use and possession. In December, he was charged with cocaine possession, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, and improperly stopping or parking a vehicle in Plantation, Florida.

In February 2023,  he tested positive for Fentanyl and had an arrest warrant signed by a Broward County judge.

But 2024 has been good so far as Kodak welcomed a brand new baby in February that he delivered himself.

With all of his past challenges, it's good to see Kodak’s happiness and that the rapper is on a positive path.
