Video Shows Kanye West’s Publicist Urging Georgia Election Worker To Confess To Fictitious Fraud Charges

Ruby Freeman was falsely accused by former president Donald Trump of manipulating 2020 votes.

During the weeks that followed the 2020 election, a publicist for Kanye West paid a visit to a Georgia election worker who faced death threats after being falsely accused by former President Donald Trump of manipulating votes.

According to Reuters, publicist Trevian Kutti said she was sent by a “high-profile individual” to give election worker Rubi Freeman an important message. In January 2021, she showed up to Freeman’s home with an unidentified Black man. She urged Freeman to confess to Trump’s fraud allegations or people would come to her residence in 48 hours and she’d go to jail. Freeman, a Black woman, faced death threats after Trump called her out by name as being responsible for his loss in Georgia.

Reuters notes that the story is based on previously unreleased police recordings and reports, legal filings and Freeman’s first interview since being pinned by Trump for fraudulent voter counts.

At the time of Kutti’s arrival to Freeman’s home, Freeman was cautious of anyone who knocked on the door. So, she called 911, states a police report. Freeman asked a neighbor to come and talk with Kutti. Kutti informed the neighbor that she was there to provide assistance. Freeman agreed to meet Kutti and the unidentified man but called Cobb County Police to send an officer to keep a look out so she could step outside of her home to speak with Kutti. Instead, the arriving officer spoke with Kutti. She described herself as a “crisis worker” to the officer. Kutti told the officer that Freeman “was in danger” and had “48 hours” before “unknown subjects” arrived at her home. By the officer’s suggestion, Kutti and Freeman agreed to meet at the police station.

At the station, they met in a corner of the station, with an officer wearing a body camera present.

“I cannot say what specifically will take place,” Kutti told Freeman in a recording. “You are a loose end for a party that needs to tidy up.

Kutti placed a man identified as Harrison Ford (not the actor) on the phone who said he had “authoritative powers” to get her protection. Both Kutti and the man on the phone pressured Freeman to turn herself in for voter fraud on Election Day. Freeman said Kutti warned her, “If you don't tell everything, you're going to jail." Freeman reportedly asked for an officer to end the conversation after her suspicion of the situation grew.

One day after Kutti and Freeman’s meeting this year (Jan. 5), a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent called Freeman and urged her to leave her home of 20 years because it wasn’t deemed safe, Freeman said.

On January 6, Kutti left her residence hours before a mob of Trump supporters completely surrounded her home and chanted through bullhorns. This is according to a defamation lawsuit that Freeman and her daughter, Shaye Moss filed last week. Moss also processed ballots during the 2020 election in Atlanta.
