Kerry Washington's Husband Cut From San Francisco 49ers

Nnamdi Asomugha has been released early from his one-year contract.

Nnamdi Asomugha is going to have more time on his hands to be a doting husband and father. The football player, who is expecting his first child with wife Kerry Washington, was released from his contract with the San Francisco 49ers, according to the team's website. The cornerback signed a one-year contract with the football club this past April but is being replaced after he hyper-extended his knee.
Asomugha, who played for the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles before joining the 49ers, is having a tremendous year in spite of Monday's disappointing news. He married Washington in a secret ceremony this past July, and the couple announced last week that they are expecting a baby next year.
Hopefully Asomugha will be back on his feet and playing again soon, but even if his football career slows down, he has acting to fall back on. Asomugha already has a handful of roles under his belt, from a stint on The Game to a cameo on Friday Night Lights.
In the meantime it could get a lot worse than spending more time with his beautiful wife and preparing for fatherhood.
