Brandy is Getting Her Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
Brandy is a star and it’s official!
The Grammy-winning singer and actress will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, March 30, 2026, in the Recording category, making her the 2,839th honoree in the landmark’s history. The ceremony is set for 11:30 a.m. PT at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard and will be streamed live on the Walk of Fame website.
The celebration will come with a heavy dose of Black excellence in the room. Actress and writer Issa Rae and music legend Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds are scheduled to speak, while Emmy-winning host Sibley Scoles will emcee the event. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said the star recognizes Brandy’s decades-long influence across music, television, film, and popular culture.
In its announcement, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce called Brandy a performer “with a voice and artistry that helped shape modern R&B and inspire generations of performers.” It went on to say, “Brandy stands among the most influential voices of her generation. For more than three decades she has shaped music, television, and live performance through technical mastery, artistic innovation, and cultural impact.”
The moment lands especially well for a star whose career has moved across mediums with ease. From becoming one of the defining voices of ’90s R&B to making history as the first Black actress to play Cinderella in Disney’s 1997 TV adaptation, Brandy has long occupied a lane all her own. The Walk of Fame star adds another permanent marker to a legacy that has already shaped a generation of fans and performers.
