Omarion Takes Aim at His Ex, Apryl Jones, on His New Track, She Responds

Can't we all just get along?

Earlier this summer, Omarion and Apryl Jones announced their split, and now that the initial drama has settled, the former Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood star has decided to channel his emotions into his music.

Omarion recently dropped the single "It's Whatever," and throughout its duration he does not remain subtle or up for interpretation, discussing the situation openly with lines such as "I've been only single four months / I'm just tryna get my swag back." As the song goes on, he later refers to Jones, with whom he has two children with, as his "BM," while also weaving in the claim, "I'm probably better by myself."

Naturally, Jones had something to say once she got wind of the song's existence.

In the days following the song dropping, Omarion's ex decided to express herself in a series of vague subtweets that one can only assume are directed right back at the singer.

"Always remain you, no matter the circumstance because your character speaks volumes more than words..." she writes.

Jones then responds to one of the specific aforementioned lines in the song, tweeting, "I'll always be great..with or without you....."

What's interesting is that not too long ago Omarion was sticking up for his ex on Instagram and in capital letters too, no less, but is now singing a different tune — literally.

Listen to Omarion's new single here and take a look at an assortment of Apryl Jones's reactions in the tweets below.
