Cam’ron Warns CJ Stroud That Houston Isn’t for the Weak
Cam’ron has a few words of advice for Houston’s newest star, CJ Stroud, as he’s forewarning the rookie player to stay focused and not get caught up in the city’s distractions.
On a recent episode of his podcast, “It Is What It Is,” the rap legend broke down the many temptations Houston has to offer, using NBA All-Star James Harden as an example of how the city’s lifestyle can easily pull you in.
“It’s crazy out there,” Cam said, shaking his head. “Them b*tches in Houston got the fatty, man. [James Harden] can’t help himself in Houston, man. Listen, when I seen that n*gga hitchhike with [Amber Rose] or whatever the f*** he did that time with Amber Rose, I knew it was bad for the n*gga, man.”
He didn’t stop there, doubling down on how the city can drain even the most disciplined stars.
“He live in Houston and he the starting quarterback in Houston. They draining him,” Cam continued. “They got the n*gga thinking he 36. That’s a hard place to live in, especially if you’re the star athlete. Ask James Harden.”
Painting a vivid picture of the city’s infamous energy, Cam’ron called out “the strip clubs, the chicken wings at six in the morning, the 24-hour strip clubs” that make Houston both magnetic and messy.
“I’m telling you, for a 23-year-old QB1, it’s dangerous out there, man,” he added.
“And listen, I’m not saying every mother should be this intense as [Jayden Daniels’] mother, but this is the type of stuff that goes on. They got ‘momagers.’ I don’t know if Jayden Daniels’ mom could save him in Houston. They piranha, those girls out there.”
