A lot has changed since Ohio's own Bone Thugs-N-Harmony first began securing their legacy in 1991.
With streaming now the norm for music consumption and artists like Drake on top of the game, two of the group's original members have come forward to talk about how they feel about the direction the industry has shifted toward since they first got their start and how they can't help but notice how they've directly influenced the 6 God's signature rhyme-singing vocal delivery.
"Our style has influenced so many people and they don't even realize it," Krayzie Bone says, before the conversation shifts to touch on Drake.
"His manager already told my homeboy he used to listen to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony before he wrote his music," Bizzy Bone offers. "That's so much love."
Judging from the group's tone, they don't need validation to know they helped popularize the harmonizing trend found within today's hip-hop and they take Drizzy's own twist on their originating style as a compliment.
Take a listen to Krayzie and Bizzy showing Drake some love in the interview below, beginning around the two-minute mark.
