This week's playlist includes Doja Cat, Khalid, Lil Wayne, Kehlani, and more.

April’s here, and our favorite artists are clearly ready for the summer. J. Cole, Doja Cat, and GloRilla shared their newest work chock full of features with artists like Megam Thee Stallion, Ari Lennox, and A$ap Rocky. There are also samples galore, as Khalid, GloRilla, and Kehlani’s new songs all interpolate iconic 2000s tracks you might just recognize.

Sill mentally preparing to be outside? Add a few of these songs to your playlists!

Please Don’t Fall In Love With Me - Khalid

Khalid’s hypnotizing new song samples Alicia Keys’ 2000s hit track, “Unthinkable (I’m Ready),” and serves as a too-late warning to a lover who’s already moved on to someone else.

Bless - Lil Wayne, Young Thug

Rap stars Young Thug and Lil Wayne team up for this blessing, trading bar for bar over a bass-heavy, guitar-driven beat.

After Hours - Kehlani

Kehlani’s breezy new bop, “After Hours,” is ready for the summertime and samples Nina Sky’s hit, “Move Your Body.”

Wanna Be - GloRilla, Megan Thee Stallion

Ahead of their joint Hot Girl Summer tour, GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion teamed up for the first single on Glo’s new album, Ehhhthang Ehhhthang. The track samples Soulja Boy’s “Pretty Boy Swag,” and Megan gives us the instantly iconic bar, “You can get your wig turned like Effie.”

URRRGE!!!!!!!!!! - Doja Cat, A$ap Rocky

Doja Cat’s deluxe album, Scarlett 2 CLAUDE, has arrived. The rap star expands her rap experimentation, dabbling in nostalgic, alt, and punk raps, perhaps best executed on songs like “URRRGE!!!!!!!!!!” and “OKLOSER.”

WhAT yoU WaNT - 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE, Deb Never

Korean singer-songwriter Deb Never joined forces with genre-bending music collective 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE for this alternative new track that promises to “give you what you want.”

Here to Stay - Jalen Ngonda

Travel back in time with Jalen Ngonda's R&B sounds. Harkening back to 1970s crooners like Marvin Gaye, Ngonda’s smooth vocals promise he’s “Here’s To Stay.”

“7 Minute Drill” - J. Cole

Hip-hop star J. Cole’s surprise new album is here and boasts twelve new tracks with features from Ari Lennox, Young Dro, Ab-Soul, Bas, and more. Might Delete Later even has the time to take shots at Kendrick Lamar on the final song, “7 Minute Drill.”
