Chance Perdomo, 'Gen V' and 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' Star, Dies at 27
"Gen V" and "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" star Chance Perdomo has died at the age of 27.
Over the weekend, Variety confirmed he was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident.
âIt is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomoâs untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident. Authorities have advised that no other individuals were involved," his publicist said in a statement. "His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the familyâs wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.â
It is unclear if the accident occurred in Los Angeles.
âWe canât quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person," said "Gen V" producers in a statement on X (formally known as Twitter). âEven writing about him in the past tense doesnât make sense. We are so sorry for Chanceâs family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.â
Perdomo portrayed Andre Anderson on the Prime Video series Gen V. The show has been indefinitely postponed following the star's death.
Along with "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina," he starred in the 2018 TV film âKilled by My Debt,â which secured him a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
