Disney+ Reveals Trailer for 'Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes'

The series follows Kiya, a normal preschooler in the morning in Southern Africa, but after lunch, she's all about that superhero life!

Disney+ and Disney Junior have released a new trailer for its upcoming series Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes, a pre-school series created by South African duo Kelly Dillon and Marc Dey and produced by eOne and Frog Box.

The animated series follows Kiya, a 7-year-old African girl who has a passion for ballet and martial arts, and who lives in Kimoja City, inspired by southern Africa. Along with her two closest friends, she discovers the power of magical crystal headbands that transform them into fearless superheroes, ready to protect their community from harm.

But this is no ordinary tale of heroism. The story is woven with positive messages, which celebrate the interconnection of all human beings and the power of sharing. As the trio embarks on their missions, they learn that true strength comes from unity and compassion and that every person has a vital role to play in creating a better world.

Kiya & The Kimoja Heroes premieres on March 22 on Disney+ and Disney Junior.
