The New England Patriots are taking their punishment and moving on from Deflategate.

ESPN is reporting that the Patriots will not appeal their penalties from the NFL over the Deflategate investigation. Patriots owner Robert Kraft told ESPN on Tuesday that the franchise will "accept reluctantly what [NFL commissioner Roger Goodell] has given us."

This comes after reports earlier in the day stated that the Patriots were working behind the scenes with the league to possibly lessen the degree of their punishment for Deflategate. ESPN had reported that the Patriots were in talks with the league to see if they could resolve their issues without filing an appeal, which they would have needed to file before this Friday.

Tuesday in San Francisco during owners' meetings could have been the meeting ground for a possible conversation between Kraft and Goodell, but Kraft says his Pats are moving on.
