Megan Thee Stallion Responds After Someone Tried To Take Credit For Writing ‘Simon Says’
Megan Thee Stallion has become the latest rapper questioned as to whether she writes her own rhymes.
Social media influencer Wolftyla took to her Instagram and seemed to take credit for Meg’s lyrics on her Fever hit “Simon Says.”
Soon after, Meg clapped back, calling Wolftyla a “clout chaser.”
Via her Instagram story, Meg wrote, "I write all my own s**t don't let nobody gas you up like that." In a second slide, she followed up with, "That clout s**t crazy" before going away.
Wolftyla then responded to correct the record:
“It’s sad that this industry will go so far as to make two women look at each other crazy. Never did i take credit for writing @theestallion’s VERSE,” she wrote in part. “I wrote the hook, the bridge and named the song for “simon says” in January. Let’s not take it there cause receipts don’t lie and reference tracks don’t either.”
Then, Juicy J jumped into the conversation. J, who produced the song, shared Meg’s previous IG story post where she revealed the Three 6 Mafia producer wrote the hook, but not her verses. He captioned it on Twitter, writing, “I produced & write a lot of songs & I get people to reference the songs I wrote Simon Says now lets end this , this is very Petty have a happy Sunday!”
Megan don’t play no games. Also, if you’ve seen her freestyles you know she can spit with the best of them!
