Rachel Dolezal’s Latest Career Pivot Puts Her Back In the Spotlight
Rachel Dolezal, who now goes by Nkechi Diallo, is back in the spotlight after saying she is working toward becoming a certified sex coach while continuing to post on OnlyFans, according to Fox 13 Seattle and CNN.
"It might seem like a large leap from civil rights advocacy, but I see it as a continuation of community wellness and individual advocacy and helping people," Diallo said to Fox 13.
Diallo first became widely known in 2015 after her parents said she was born white, despite her public claims of being Black and her role as president of the Spokane NAACP chapter.
The fallout cost her leadership post, and later other jobs, and in 2016, she had her name legally changed to Nkechi Amare Diallo, a shortened Igbo name of Nigerian origin that means “gift of God.” Many saw it as an attempt to rebuild her life. In 2017, she published a memoir titled “In Full Color: Finding My Place in a Black and White World.”
In 2024, she lost a teaching job in Arizona after school officials learned about her OnlyFans account. More recently, she has used subscription platforms and online content to make money, sharing the work is a way to stay flexible as a parent.
Fox 13 said she is now drawing attention again because of the sex coach certification path, which she says will go alongside her online business.
"So, after I got fired for having that account and teaching, then it was like, why not just become an expert in this?" she said. "As long as I'm going to be on OnlyFans. Why not explore the psychology of human sexuality?"
The latest headlines have revived the same debate that has followed Diallo for years: whether her reinvention is personal survival, public performance, or a mixture of both.
