Jill Scott’s Throwback Family Photos Found at Goodwill Spark Return Mission
Jill Scott fans are in full internet detective mode after a Nashville-based TikToker reportedly found what appear to be the singer’s childhood photos at Goodwill. The creator went viral after stumbling on the pictures in a thrift store and is now trying to return them to Scott.
The creator, whose name is Hannah, is a thrift store enthusiast who loves posting her vintage finds under @WhatsHannahInto. She stumbled upon the family photos and shared the video with the words, “the saddest thing I’ve ever seen at Goodwill.”
Initially, Hannah left the photos, but circled back to retrieve them so she could get them back to Scott. She also purchased other photos that didn’t feature the “Pressha” singer, but came together with photos of her, the assumption being they might be Scott’s family members.
Hannah’s discovery quickly turned into one of those sweet, strange internet moments that ignite excitement and curiosity. Fans noticed the images included the star almost immediately.
Hannah shared that she’s been attempting to reach Scott, who she said is understandably difficult to reach, but she has been in contact with someone claiming to be the Grammy-winning singer’s social media manager. That person reached out, confirming that the images were indeed of Scott and her family. Hannah, however, is guarding the precious throwback photos with her life and wants to be sure she’s handing them over to the right people. She said the social media manager reached out through a verified TikTok account, but is still hesitant, so she attempted to contact Scott’s team through her official website.
In a video, Hannah said, “I’ve been reading some of y’all’s comments about how some of these photos could be worth money. I don’t care. I know that photos are very special and meaningful to some people.”
Fans have already begun circulating the story across social media, and one X post jokingly marveled, “Life is so random why did a white lady on tiktok stumble upon Jill Scott's family photos in a Goodwill in Nashville lol.”
So random! Here’s hoping Jilly from Philly gets her family photos back!
