Police: 3 Killed in 13 Shootings Over Weekend

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore Police Commissioner Fred Bealefeld is calling his top commanders together after three people were killed in 13 shootings in the city over the weekend.

Two of the shootings involved police officers wounding suspects.

Bealefeld stepped up police presence in hotspots after a three shootings on Friday night left two men dead and five others wounded. But he is calling his top commanders together Monday to assess their violence prevention strategy.
