Cardi B Says Trolls Are Trying to ‘Humble’ Her By Editing Her Met Gala Photos
Cardi B looked stunning during the 2025 Met Gala, but some social media trolls aimed to insult the Grammy winner by photoshopping a post-event picture of her.
After attending the event on Monday, May 5, an altered image of the rapper went viral and showed her with an unflattering facial appearance. But Cardi swiftly responded with a makeup-free selfie video of herself on Thursday, May 8, assuring her haters that she looked fine.
“Am I really that bad of a bitch that y’all always gotta edit my pictures to fake try to humble me wit insults on this app?” the Grammy winner captioned the video, where she listened to Lady Gaga’s “G.U.Y.” “Anyways no filter, no makeup, just me and this wig I had on for days. THANK YOU!!”
During her outfit and glam preparation for the Met Gala, Cardi B spoke to Vogue about the pressure she faces before hitting the carpet.
"It's actually more intimidating now because I’m competing with myself,” Cardi said in the reel below.
"Everybody always expects so much from me. Especially here, because they know that this is my department, which, you know, is overwhelming, but I love it,” she continued.
